The Tacony Creek Park Master Plan was funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Scattergood Foundation, and the William Penn Foundation. The first Advisory Committee meeting was held in June of 2021. Below is the list of meetings and links to recordings and presentations.
Tacony Creek Park Master Plan Advisory Committee Meetings
Tacony Creek Park & Frankford Creek Greenway Master Plan Meetings
We selected Natural Lands as our consultant, and charged the team with developing a plan centered on community input and equity, with the goal of encouraging park use and strengthening connections with communities. As part of the Master Plan, we implemented two special projects, People of the Park and Tacony Creek Park Explorer Kits, to enhance engagement during the long planning process.
The plan was developed with the help of an Advisory Committee, and widely distributed surveys and focus groups. Many of you, your families, schools, and organizations shared your concerns and ideas for the park. You told us your priorities – park improvements, operations, or programs. Your participation was the foundation for the new vision for Tacony Creek Park!
